Tokyo’s got soul

Last night was an amazing for us in Tokyo. We played our second show which was held at the Duo Music Exchange live house in Shibuya. Our good friend Taro Kijima booked us a spot to play alongside Asami, and his group, the Dream Choir. Seeing the Dream Choir preform last night was one of the most amazing things I’ve seen since I’ve been here. Don’t ever doubt if Japanese people have soul, because they definitely do. There funky gospel choir performance combined amazing singers with just as amazing instrumentalists. Towards the end of their set there was a song with a crazy harmonica solo. I mean, this dude could blow on that thing!

Our short set was great last night but the experience of last night made it way better. After the show, which I’m told had about 347 people in attendance, we(Kindred Fall) walked down to a nearby restaurant where partied the rest of the night away with the Dream Choir. One amazing night in Tokyo, hopefully there are lots more to come.
