Endangered Species

Yamanba

The other day in Shibuya, I spotted the elusive endagered species Yamanba in their native habitat. I’ve read, and heard about them before; I even have a friend who used to be one, but this is the first time I’ve actually seen one in person. Luckily I had my new camera in hand, and just managed to snap a pic of them from afar. If you don’t know what a Yamanba is, you can read a basic description here on wikipedia.

Yamanba, seems to be an almost extinct super subclass of the more mainstream Gyaru ギャル, “Gal” fashion style that’s can be found on the streets of Tokyo today.
